A Christmas runner defined by texture and color

The Acer Table Runner brings together natural fibers and a strong botanical pattern.

Its 50% hemp and 50% linen fabric has a visible, tactile texture that gives the printed design greater depth. Red stripes run lengthwise through the composition, surrounded by green holly leaves and small red berries.

The result feels clearly festive without becoming overly formal. The natural background softens the traditional Christmas red-and-green palette, while the linear composition gives the runner a more graphic and contemporary presence.

The Acer runner is made entirely in Italy by L’Arcolaio and selected by La Bottega di Casa as part of its collection of Italian table linens.

The current Table Runners collection includes linen, hemp and natural-fiber blends, with Acer listed among the printed designs.[/vc_column_text]

Place Acer directly on a wood dining table to let both the texture of the fabric and the natural surface remain visible.

For a more layered setting, use it over a solid-color tablecloth. Ivory and natural linen create a lighter background, forest green gives the table more depth, while burgundy or deep red produce a richer holiday setting.

The runner can also be used on a console, sideboard or smaller table, where the botanical motif works as a decorative textile accent throughout the festive season.

For a fully coordinated table, combine the runner with the matching Acer Hemp and Linen Tablecloth and Acer Linen and Hemp Napkin.

The Acer napkin is also made from 50% linen and 50% hemp, measures 19 × 19 inches / 50 × 50 cm and is branded by L’Arcolaio.

A perfectly matched set is not necessary, however.

Solid-color napkins give the table more freedom:

Forest green echoes the holly leaves.

Burgundy adds depth.

Natural linen or cream keeps the setting lighter.

Sage green creates a softer, less expected Christmas palette.

Taupe allows the runner itself to remain the focal point.

Acer is ideal for anyone looking for a Made in Italy hemp and linen Christmas table runner with a visible natural texture and a festive design that feels refined without being conventional.

It works especially well for those who enjoy leaving part of the tabletop visible, combining natural materials and creating a table through color rather than using a completely matched set.

A runner can either remain entirely on the tabletop or extend beyond both ends.

For a traditional drop, approximately 8–12 inches / 20–30 cm on each end usually creates balanced proportions. The exact effect depends on the length of the table and the way the runner is being used.
