A Christmas tablecloth where texture comes first

Acer is a Christmas tablecloth with a strong material presence.

Made from 50% hemp and 50% linen, the fabric has a naturally textured, substantial appearance that gives depth to the printed design. The red stripes run lengthwise across the tablecloth, while green holly branches and red berries add a botanical border around the edges.

The colour palette is unmistakably festive, yet the natural hemp-and-linen ground keeps the overall look warm and relaxed rather than overly formal.

Produced entirely in Italy by L’Arcolaio, Acer combines natural fibres, botanical decoration and a graphic use of colour in a tablecloth that feels equally at home in an elegant dining room, a country house or a contemporary winter interior.[/vc_column_text]

Acer works beautifully with classic Christmas elements, but it does not need a fully traditional setting.

White or ivory porcelain creates a clean contrast with the red and green pattern. Clear glassware keeps the table luminous, while hand-thrown ceramics, wood and textured accessories bring out the natural character of the hemp and linen.

For a richer setting, add touches of brass or silver. For something more relaxed, let the fabric do most of the work and keep the rest of the table deliberately simple.

The natural background also opens the door to less expected colour combinations. Alongside red and forest green, Acer can be paired with burgundy, cream, taupe, sage green or deep olive.

For a fully coordinated Christmas table, pair the tablecloth with the matching Acer Table Runner and Acer Linen and Hemp Napkin.

The runner is especially useful when you want to repeat the Acer design on a console, side table or smaller dining table, while the napkins create a complete setting in the same hemp-and-linen blend.

Acer also works extremely well with solid-colour napkins. Forest green echoes the holly leaves, burgundy gives the table more depth, while natural linen, cream and taupe soften the composition. A muted sage green creates a more personal and less conventional Christmas palette.

Acer is ideal for anyone looking for a Made in Italy hemp and linen Christmas tablecloth with a distinctive textile identity.

It is particularly suited to those who appreciate natural fibres, visible texture and festive designs that feel elegant without becoming overly formal.

It is also a good choice for anyone who prefers to build a Christmas table through colour and material rather than using a perfectly matched set. By changing napkins, glassware and table accessories, the same tablecloth can move from a classic Christmas mood to something warmer, more rustic or more contemporary.

To calculate the right tablecloth size, measure the length and width of your table and add twice the desired drop.

A drop of approximately 10–12 inches (25–30 cm) on each side works well for most dining tables.

For example:

71 × 35 in table → approximately 91–94 × 55–59 in tablecloth

(180 × 90 cm → approximately 230–240 × 140–150 cm)

87 × 39 in table → approximately 106–110 × 59–63 in tablecloth

(220 × 100 cm → approximately 270–280 × 150–160 cm)

Because the Acer design includes longitudinal red stripes and a specifically arranged botanical border, the proportions of the print need to be considered when evaluating alternative sizes.
