f you have been looking for a botanical linen table runner that is genuinely one of a kind — not a repeated pattern, but a unique composition born from a single cut — the Datura Rosa runner is what you are looking for. It is cut from the same fabric as the Datura Rosa tablecloth: the same botanical watercolour with the great trumpet flowers of the datura, painted in dusty pink, lilac, and white, suspended from sage green foliage as if from an invisible branch. In the runner format, the design reveals its most theatrical nature: the trumpets hang along the drop at the ends of the table, descending toward the floor exactly as the real flowers would from their branch. It is one of those rare cases where the format of the product follows the botanical logic of the design — the datura hangs, and the runner lets it hang.

Because the fabric’s design is continuous — non-modular, with no fixed repeat point — every runner is cut at a different point in the cloth and presents its own composition. One runner will show the flowers in full bloom along the drop; another will have dense foliage at the centre and sparser trumpets; a third will capture the lightly sketched flowers beside the full-colour ones. No two Datura Rosa runners are exactly alike — not as a formula, but as a direct consequence of how each one is born.

The Datura Rosa design is an exclusive La Bottega di Casa creation.

As with all natural linen products, small fibre irregularities may be visible — slubs, weave variations, slight differences in thread thickness. These are not flaws: they are the signature of natural fabric, and part of what gives the cloth its character.

In the first image, the runner dresses a rustic table in a refined countryside interior — whitewashed Gustavian chairs, porcelain tureens, botanical prints in antique frames on the walls. The runner falls from the end of the table with the datura flowers hanging along the drop: the scene seems built around this gesture, and it is exactly how the runner gives its best.

The close-up images reveal the quality of the watercolour at arm’s length: translucent petals rendered in glazes, green calyxes, background flowers barely suggested in grey, almost transparent against the natural linen ground. This is a design that reveals itself up close — and the runner, sitting at the centre of the table under everyone’s eyes, is the format that honours it most.

On a raw or dark wood table — as in the photographs — the pale linen ground brightens the surface and the flowers bring the garden. In a white or pale interior, the runner adds botanical depth without weight.

Because it is a unique piece in the literal sense: the combination of a fixed size, a continuous design, and a hand cut produces every time a composition that cannot be repeated. Whoever buys it knows their runner exists in no other home.

Because the hanging datura is a design made for this format: the trumpets descend along the runner’s drop as they would from the branch, and the table becomes the natural support of the botanical gesture.

Because the 19″ x 65″ format is versatile — dining table, kitchen table, sideboard, console.

And because it is Made in Italy, cut and finished in our atelier in Follina (Treviso).

The Datura Rosa runner gives its best on wood surfaces — raw, dark, aged — where the pale linen ground creates contrast and light. White porcelain is the natural companion: tureens, plates, simple jugs. Natural linen napkins or napkins in soft dusty pink complete the register.

As a decorative layer over a solid-colour linen tablecloth — lavender, grey, or natural white from our collection — the runner creates a refined botanical layering: the neutral base around, the datura at the centre. With the Datura Rosa tablecloth, the family coordination completes itself — different compositions, the same language.

Why is every runner different from the next? The runner is cut from the continuous fabric of the Datura Rosa tablecloth, which has no fixed repeat module. The cut point determines which flowers, leaves, and trumpets appear in which position: two runners cut at different points in the fabric will have different compositions. The runner you receive will be coordinated in palette and design with the ones in the images — but with its own unique composition.

Will my runner look exactly like the photos? The photos show the design family — the datura flowers, the foliage, the linen ground — but the exact composition of your runner will depend on the cut point. That is the character of the product: every piece is a unique fragment of the same garden.

Does it coordinate with the Datura Rosa tablecloth? Yes — they are cut from the same fabric: same watercolour, same colours, same style. The runner over the Datura Rosa tablecloth creates a rich coordinated look; the runner over a solid-colour tablecloth — lavender, grey, or natural — creates a lighter, more contemporary layering.

Can I use it on surfaces other than a dining table? Absolutely. The 19″ x 65″ format works on sideboards, consoles, kitchen tables, chests of drawers — anywhere you want to place a quality textile piece. The hanging datura design gives its best when the ends of the runner fall from a surface.

Does the print fade with washing? Digital print on linen is designed to withstand repeated machine washes at 40°C (104°F). Over time the colour acquires a subtle patina consistent with the watercolour aesthetic. Do not bleach.

 [/vc_column][/vc_row]
