If you have been looking for a magnolia linen table runner with real presence — flowers at nearly life scale, watercolour depth, a piece that reads from across the room — the Magnolia Rosa is what you are looking for. The runner is cut from the continuous fabric of the Magnolia line: the same large-scale watercolour as the allover tablecloth, with magnolia flowers in dusty pink and deep carmine, dark green foliage, and grey sketched blooms almost transparent against the natural linen ground. In the runner format, the large scale of the design gives its very best: the flowers run along the strip in continuous succession, and the centre of the table becomes a magnolia branch in full bloom.

And because the fabric is continuous, with no fixed repeat module, no two runners will ever be identical: the cut point determines which flowers appear, in which sequence, with which balance between full pink and grey sketch. Every Magnolia Rosa runner is one of a kind — a different branch of the same tree.

The Magnolia Rosa design is an exclusive La Bottega di Casa creation.

As with all natural linen products, small fibre irregularities may be visible — slubs, weave variations, slight differences in thread thickness. These are not flaws: they are the signature of natural fabric, and part of what gives the cloth its character.

The photographs show the runner in two opposite worlds — the same proof of versatility that characterises the whole Magnolia line.

In the shabby chic kitchen — the long rustic table, the cane-back chairs, fresh roses in the vase, decorated porcelain — the runner is the romantic heart of the scene: the painted flowers converse with the real ones and with the decoration of the plates, in a coordinated floral crescendo.

In the contemporary kitchen — marble, warm wood, neutral stoneware, ribbed glass — the runner is the only decorative gesture, and precisely for that reason the most powerful: a strip of garden on a minimal table. The large scale of the design holds the modern context perfectly, where a small motif would look timid.

In both cases, the runner does what a runner should do: it defines the centre of the table, welcomes the centrepiece and shared dishes, and leaves the place settings free at the sides.

Because it is one of a kind in the literal sense: cut from the continuous fabric, no runner is identical to another. Yours will be a composition that exists in no other home.

Because the size is flexible: the proposed format is 50 x 165 cm / 19″ x 65″, but we make different sizes on request — longer for important tables, shorter for consoles.

Because the large scale of the magnolia gives the runner a presence few table textiles have.

And because it is Made in Italy, cut and finished in our atelier in Follina (Treviso).

The runner belongs to the Magnolia Rosa line, the most complete in our botanical collection: the tablecloth (Magnolia Allover), placemats, napkins, and tea towel all share the same watercolour.

The runner over a solid-colour tablecloth is the most scenographic entry into the family; with placemats and napkins, the fully coordinated table takes shape.

On a bare wood table — rustic or modern, as in the photographs — the runner is complete as it is. Over a solid linen tablecloth — natural white, écru, or grey from our collection — the layering adds depth. White ceramics or neutral stoneware let the design speak; fresh roses in pink and cream are the natural centrepiece.

For the coordinated table: runner at the centre, Magnolia Rosa placemats or napkins at the settings, solid-colour base underneath. Every piece with its own unique composition — the table becomes the whole tree.

Why is every runner different from the next? The runner is cut from the continuous fabric of the Magnolia line, which has no fixed repeat module. The cut point determines which flowers appear and in which sequence: two runners cut at different points will have different compositions. The runner you receive will be coordinated in palette and design with the one in the photos — but with its own unique composition.

Can I order a different size? Yes. The proposed size is 19″ x 65″, but we make different dimensions on request — longer for large tables, shorter for consoles and sideboards. Contact us with your preferred measurements.

Does it coordinate with the other pieces of the Magnolia Rosa line? Yes: the tablecloth, placemats, napkins, and tea towel all share the same watercolour. The runner at the centre with placemats or napkins at the settings, over a solid-colour base, composes the coordinated table — every piece with its own unique composition.

Can I use it on surfaces other than a dining table? Absolutely. The runner works on sideboards, consoles, credenzas, kitchen tables — anywhere you want a textile piece with presence. The large scale of the magnolia makes it almost a horizontal tapestry.

Does the print fade with washing? Digital print on linen is designed to withstand repeated machine washes at 40°C (104°F). Over time the colour acquires a subtle patina consistent with the watercolour aesthetic. Do not bleach.
