If you have been looking for the definitive autumn linen tablecloth — pumpkins with the depth of a real watercolour, squash blossoms in blazing orange, nothing kitsch, nothing themed — Pumpkin Flowers is what you are looking for. Ripe pumpkins in golden yellow and ochre, open squash blossoms in vivid orange, buds on their long stems, great leaves in every gradation of green: an autumn kitchen garden painted in watercolour, with the full chromatic abundance of the harvest season. As in the other prints of our collection, full-colour elements live alongside lightly sketched ones, almost transparent against the ground — the botanical study technique that gives the design depth without weight.

The composition runs in two bands: the design travels along the two long sides of the tablecloth, while the centre remains in natural white linen — as the third image shows, with the cloth laid flat and seen from above. On the set table, the two printed bands descend along the side drops, where the pumpkins and blossoms unfold at full scale, and the white central field welcomes plates, dishes, and centrepieces with the cleanness of an open canvas. The design frames the table; the centre serves it.

The Pumpkin Flowers design is an exclusive La Bottega di Casa creation.

As with all natural linen products, small fibre irregularities may be visible — slubs, weave variations, slight differences in thread thickness. These are not flaws: they are the signature of natural fabric, and part of what gives the cloth its character.

The photographs tell the natural vocation of this tablecloth: the important autumn table. In the first image, an elegant dining room with real pumpkins resting on the cloth, white and orange dahlias, a glass cake stand with its cloche — the tablecloth is the backdrop that holds everything together. In the second, the close-up detail shows the conversation between the pumpkins painted on the drop and the real ones on the table: same colour, same season, two natures.

This is the Thanksgiving tablecloth — the feast where the pumpkin reigns over the table — but its seasonal arc is wider: from September to November it is the cloth of autumn dinners, of the harvest, of chestnuts, of an elegantly celebrated Halloween. And the botanical watercolour register keeps it far from any folkloric effect: this is a cultivated design, not a themed decoration.

Because the autumn table deserves a tablecloth conceived for it — and Pumpkin Flowers is, in every choice: the colours of the harvest, the two-band composition that leaves the centre free for the abundant dishes of the holidays, the generous scale of the design that can be appreciated from across the room. For those who celebrate Thanksgiving, this is the definitive cloth: watercolour pumpkins on the drop, real pumpkins on the table, the turkey at the centre on clean white linen.

Because it is an exclusive La Bottega di Casa design, printed on natural linen and finished with mitered corners in our atelier in Follina (Treviso).

And because it comes in various sizes and can be made to measure: the holiday table is often the largest in the house, and this tablecloth can reach it.

The Pumpkin Flowers family also includes three coordinated tea towels featuring the same designs as the tablecloth — three different compositions of pumpkins and blossoms in kitchen format.

Used as tea towels they bring autumn into the kitchen; used as large placemats they complete the coordinated table; hung, they decorate.

They also make the perfect autumn gift, on their own or together with the tablecloth.

White and ivory ceramics are the safest base — they let the yellows and oranges of the design speak. For the holiday table, warm tones work beautifully: amber plates, honey-coloured glasses, gold cutlery. Solid linen napkins — natural, ochre, or olive green — complete the service by picking up the tones of the design.

The centrepiece is already written into the design: real pumpkins, in every shape and size, with dahlias, leaves, and candles. The conversation between the painted pumpkins and the real ones — as in the photographs — is the most natural autumn table there is.

How does the design sit on the table? The design runs in two bands along the long sides of the cloth — as the flat-lay photograph shows. On the set table, the printed bands descend along the side drops with the pumpkins and blossoms at full scale, while the central field remains in natural white linen: clean, luminous, ready for plates and serving dishes.

Is this a good Thanksgiving tablecloth? It is our Thanksgiving tablecloth by vocation: watercolour pumpkins and squash blossoms are the very theme of the feast, the white centre welcomes the turkey and the abundant dishes, and the colours of the design tie the whole table together. With real pumpkins as the centrepiece, the effect is complete.

Can I order a custom size for a large table? Yes. It is available in various sizes and we also make custom rectangular sizes on request, depending on fabric width availability. The holiday table is often the longest in the house — contact us with your measurements.

Is it available in round format? No. The two-band composition along the long sides is conceived for rectangular formats. For a round table with a botanical print, we recommend Pansée Allover, available round up to 170 cm (67″) in diameter.

Are there coordinated products? Yes: three tea towels featuring the same designs as the tablecloth — three different compositions of pumpkins and blossoms. Use them as tea towels, as large placemats, or as decorative hanging pieces; they complete the coordinated autumn table and make an excellent gift.

Does the print fade with washing? Digital print on linen is designed to withstand repeated machine washes at 40°C (104°F). Over time the colour acquires a subtle patina consistent with the watercolour aesthetic. Do not bleach.

 [/vc_column][/vc_row]
