Made in Umbria by Tessitura Pardi, Ape Rustica is a 100% linen towel woven on artisanal looms. It shares the bee motif of the classic Ape towel, but a natural linen-colored thread replaces a white thread in the weave, giving the fabric a warmer, more textured look. Available in blue, natural, black, Sagrantino, and turquoise, subject to the selected variant. Sold individually.

The familiar bee motif, reinterpreted in the weave
Ape Rustica has the same bees as the classic Ape linen towel. The change lies in the thread: Tessitura Pardi replaces one of the white threads with a natural linen-colored one. The ground and decorative border take on a subtler contrast and a more textured appearance. The fiber content and everyday function remain the same; the choice is about the look and feel you prefer.
The bees add a distinctive detail beside marble, wood, or contemporary ceramics. Black makes the motif stand out; Sagrantino brings a richer color to the bathroom. Blue, natural, and turquoise offer other ways to arrange the towels together. Choose matching pieces or combine colors and sizes with a more individual touch.
Machine hemstitching adds a fine openwork line beside the decorative border.
Linen absorbs moisture and dries quickly between uses. Thinner and less bulky than a conventional terry towel, Ape Rustica fits neatly on a shelf or in a travel bag. Its lightly textured surface has a distinctive feel and can offer gentle mechanical exfoliation, without added treatments. Over time, washing and use tend to soften the linen while preserving its character.

The Guest Towel, approximately 23.6 × 17.7 in (60 × 45 cm), works as a small hand towel; in Italian bathrooms, this size is also used by the bidet. The Bath Towel, approximately 47.2 × 27.6 in (120 × 70 cm), offers a larger format for use after a bath or shower. Each of the two available sizes is sold individually.

We also select Pardi fabrics by the yard and cut and sew them at our Follina atelier into tablecloths, table runners, and placemats.
